Celebration and Recuperation

Jen's birthday is today! Her mom drove up on Saturday and they headed for the coast to enjoy the cooler temperatures. Happy Birthday Jen!
Before she left there was one last snuggle for Sophie.

We keep laughing that Sophie looks like a racehorse in her pink bandages. The reason she has those is because while she was out to get fixed, Cathy also had her duclaws removed.

Jen came back from work the night after Soph's surgery with a new wine: "Pathetic Puppy Peach Chardonnay."

My goodbyes to Sophie. That was a rough day, but God sustained our hearts and her life.

Tonight is Jen's birthday dinner. We have much to celebrate!
